Application of TC4 titanium alloy rod in petroleum refining industry
Application of TC4 titanium alloy rod in petroleum refining industry
In most inorganic salts, TC4 titanium rod is completely inert and has excellent corrosion resistance. For example, in the production of electrolytic Mn02, the electrolyte is neutral MnSO4 solution, the electrode is required to be resistant to sulfate corrosion, and the telegraph is made of lead alloy and graphite, which has poor effect. After using titanium, the anode is not corroded and becomes a semi permanent equipment.
TC4 titanium rod has excellent corrosion resistance in almost all organic acids and organic media (except formic acid and oxalic acid). In addition to methanol, titanium is also corrosion resistant to organic alcohols, aldehydes and ketones. For example, in the petrochemical industry, acetaldehyde is used to make acetic acid. Because acetic acid, acetaldehyde, chloride and catalyst have serious corrosion on stainless steel equipment, titanium is used to solve the problem of equipment corrosion in acetic acid production. For another example, when acetone is made from propylene, titanium can also be used to make equipment. Japan has built an acetone plant with an annual output of 30000 tons, using nearly 40 tons of titanium.
Finally, TC4 titanium rod is corrosion resistant to wet H2S gas, wet SO4 gas, ammonia and industrial atmosphere (special care should be taken when using titanium in small hydrogen containing medium and pure oxygen). For example, in the oil refining industry, the equipment is mostly corroded by H2S, nh8, sulfide and chloride. The corrosion problem can be solved by using titanium equipment. Titanium is mainly used in distillation tower, condenser, air cooler and other equipment in petroleum refining. Titanium is an ideal corrosion resistant material in the production of synthetic ammonia and urea. In addition, there are many examples of industrial atmospheric corrosion in coking production.
