[Abstract]:
Titanium and titanium alloys have many excellent characteristics, such as high specific strength, strong corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance, nonmagnetism, etc.

Titanium and titanium alloys have many excellent characteristics, such as high specific strength, strong corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance, nonmagnetism, etc. They are widely used in marine engineering, aerospace engineering, Chemical engineering, biological engineering and many other fields. TA1 pure titanium has excellent formability, but its crystal structure is close packed hexagonal, which leads to its complex deformation mechanism compared with other cubic structure materials. It has excellent properties such as low density, high specific strength, good corrosion resistance, etc. Its main applications include aerospace, Naval architecture, hydrogen oxygen engine, etc. The raw material for producing titanium strip is small particle sponge titanium, which is then processed into titanium strip coils through melting, forging, rolling, and other processing processes. Currently, the width of titanium strip coils in China is generally greater than 1000mm

Production process of cold rolled TA1 titanium strip

The production process of cold rolled TA1 titanium strip is as follows: small particle sponge titanium → secondary vacuum melting → ingot and slab casting → hot rolling → hot wire continuous annealing → shot blasting and acid washing → cold rolling and degreasing bell furnace annealing → tension straightening → edge cutting sampling → inspection → packaging and warehousing.

Melting and Casting Processes

Industrial pure titanium should be melted in a vacuum consumable electrode arc furnace more than twice. The castings are melted and cast in a vacuum consumable electrode arc solidification furnace using graphite processing, graphite compaction, metal, and investment casting.
